As you all know I love a great liquid lipstick and I had heard rave reviews of Kat Von D. Two colours that come to mind that are very popular are Lolita and Bow N Arrow, so obviously I had to order them. Previously, Kat Von D was not available in the UK and had to be …
I recently attended the Olympia Beauty Show, which is a haven for beauty addicts out there. It is also good for the beauty professional who would like to get beauty products at a discount. Whether you like beauty in bulk or individually, it is the best way to introduce yourself to new products. The show is …
I can’t believe that January has come to an end. It’s first of Feb and this month is full of excitement. I will go into this on another blog, but for now on to my January favourites and essentials. This has been an interesting month. A long month after Christmas, but also a good month in …
Anti-ageing, is it a label to be proud of or shy from? Anti-ageing is a topic that is sensitive to say the least. What does it really mean? It’s quite a claim to make! In most cases it simply means that the product is specially formulated for the older lady. Or is it? The word …
It is always lovely to be invited to a party, but to get an invite to one from such a great brand is even more exciting.
The brand in question is La Roche Posay and they had a very exciting new product to launch, the Effacer BB Blur. This BB cream has a lovely consistency, very smooth and moussey feeling. The BB Blur comes in two colours, either light/medium or medium/dark. Using the BB blur is designed to instantly visually blur the appearance of pores, blemishes and absorbs oil all day long, so ideal for oily skin.
There were some gorgeous added touches to the party and the general theme was blue to match their wonderful products.
La Roche Posay have the iconic Serozinc which is the best toner and is a God-send for those who have blemish and/or acne-prone skin. The results leave the skin mattified and less greasy, if a problem, that is.
The serum is also a product worth trying which can be used morning and night, alone or under makeup to leave the skin buffered and primed. The serum also soothes, as it is suitable for sensitive skin, which is ideal for me as I prefer no dry patches or breakouts.
The beauty of the La Roche Posay products is that they are dermatological tested and therefore will be beneficial for all skin types. The key ingredients being La Roche Posay thermal spring water containing selenium, which has anti-free radical properties.
There was even a fun post box where requests could be made for products to try, which was a really awesome idea!
The lovely ladies from La Roche Posay were very friendly and gave me a very nice goody bag to take home with some beautiful attached balloons, which I got a few smiles from passers by on the way back home.
Thank you so much to La Roche Posay for inviting me and making me feel so welcome.
I was luckily enough to attend an event organised by the London Beauty Queen who is also a blogger, one that has been blogging for a few years and well respected within the Blogger Sphere or community.
The event was held at Omniya in the heart of London’s Knightsbridge and just minutes away from the epic Harrods.
Omniya is many things. On first impressions you would think it is a specialist chemist but when you venture further in you can see it is much more than that. The decor is very inviting, as are the staff who are more than happy to help.
Omniya is a new concept in health, beauty and a pharmacy, all wrapped in one, including a pioneering clinic and experienced practitioners.
There are many facilities and products on offer. It’s a nice place to unwind with a nice facial or maybe a beauty treatment. They have some fantastic products from cult skincare to haircare and health brands.
The amazing thing about Omniya has to be the on board and private GP who can assist with the more bespoke skincare such as ageing and regenerative medicine.
The staff consists of trained beauty therapists, wellness experts, a nutritionist and pharmacists who make you feel very welcome and at ease with their expertise.
Omniya is truly the first health and beauty MediClinc of its kind!
I spoke to the Co-founder Ahmed Al Saraf who showed me round the clinic and was very informative and explained what treatments were available.
Here are some of the fabulous treatments on offer:
- Anti-wrinkle injectables
- Dermal fillers
- Lip fillers
- Bespoke facials
- Chemical peels
- Non-surgical facelifts
- Non-surgical rhinoplasty
- Aesthetic dermatology
General practitioner services
- Hormone therapy
- Regenerative medicine
- Life coaching
- Vitamin infusion
- Allergy testing
- Intolerance testing
The evening was very informative and it was great to see what is on offer. I felt very welcome, with some great products to view, nice things to eat, including my favourite macaroons, from none other than Lauderee! The decor was also well presented with glorious candles from Neom (and don’t you just love a good candle!) and lovely flowers from Bloomin UK.
You can find Omniya at 3a Montpelier Street, Knightsbridge, London, SW7 1EX. And why not combine a relaxing facial with a shopping trip to Knightsbridge? No prizes for guessing where! 😉
I had the great opportunity to try a new product called Kleem. It isn’t quite a cream, but a serum. An intensive rejuvenating vitamin serum.
I love this serum, as it’s been really good in combating dry patches that I suffered from, mostly around my mouth. Especially in winter this will be good for combating skin dryness that can be a killer during harsher weather.
This is also great as it is good for ageing.
The serum is made using a concentrate of vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, witch hazel and arginine, perfect for smoother skin. I must say that this has truly been a wonder in more ways than one, not only for my face but for my hands too. What was left on my hands, I rubbed in which made my hands also feel smoother and softer. I suffer from dry, cracked and broken skin on my hands, which this rid.
I have used most of it and will be sad when it finishes. You can get this wonder serum from Amazon, so an order will have to be made! 🙂
