I have lusted after a few makeup pieces, but disappointing as it is, these items are only available at Sephora (a big make-up and beauty shop in America and Europe). As I am not going to any of these destinations any time soon, I thought I’d take the plunge and treat myself (from my Birthday money, this month)!
So what was on my wishlist:
- Anastasia Beverley Hills Liquid lipstick in Pure Hollywood
- Kat Von D Liquid lipstick in Bow N Arrow
- Kat Von D Liquid lipstick in Lolita
- Kat Von D Liquid lipstick in Bow N Arrow
- Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
- Sephora lip stain in 01
- LaVanila Healthy deodorant
With Sephora you can also get 3 free samples. I chose the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, Kaplan MD Lip 20 Mask and finally the DR. BRANDT SKINCARE Needles No More® 3-D Filler Mask.
Lol. I left the Pure Holywood sticker on there.
I have been wanting to get a few liquid lipsticks (motive being that they stay on the lips longer) and top of my list was Pure Hollywood by Anastasia Beverley Hills and I have been looking for it for forever in the UK. I added my name to a wish-list on Roses Beauty Store, but they hadn’t had it in stock for a long time and I gave up waiting. They also sell it on Amazon, but it’s £27.50, which is expensive. On Sephora, it cost me £14.
I also wanted to get a few Kat Von D products that I heard were very good. I have seen a few lovely videos and photos of these and knew I wanted some. I chose Lolita, as it is popular and a great shade for all skin types and look especially good on olive and darker skin tones. I am really please with the choices. The Bow N Arrow is good for everyday use and can be worn over Sore lipliner (Mac), however, it makes it a little less lasting. I also got the tattoo liner, which I am yet to use, but I have also heard only good things about it.
Another liquid lipstick is from Sephora in 01, which is a wonderful red. This can be bought on it’s own, but you can also get a makeup bag with the same lipstick, so I went for this instead (It made sense). 🙂
I am so pleased with the products and have already been using them every day. The only downside is that they don’t ship/allow liquids, so you can’t order perfumes, not even rollerballs. I really wanted to get the Elizabeth and James Nirvana rollerball in White. It’s also a shame there isn’t a Sephora in the UK!
Here are swatches, Sephora red in 01, Pure Hollywood, Lolita and lastly, Bow N Arrow. How beautiful is the packaging of the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks!
