Hi everyone, I know have been away for a while, but not totally (been on the other social media channels). I was basically just taking a break from blogging.
I wanted to spend some quality time with my family and truly enjoy the New Year and what this year has to offer. I am really positive about 2019. Although, it has started slow, I am sure that I will have lots to say and bring to the table.
So why not start by telling you what I have been up to. As I am a beauty enthusiast I have still been keeping up with the launches and have been to a few events and enjoyed some time out along the way!
First up I reached a big accolade or achievement last year in my job role. I am an Online Marketing Manager, so have ‘like being a blogger’, many roles within one. Really, I am more of a Social Media Manager. I work very closely with Facebook, through my company and even have our own rep. I have worked on many exciting campaigns, of which I will be posting soon on the portfolio part of my site. So watch this space…
The end of last year I was included in a fantastic article on Ice Lolly ( a travel company) on the destinations that travel bloggers rate for 2019. My choice was Slovenia, as I really enjoyed my holiday there. I can really recommend Slovenia, as it is a lesser know destination and so unspoilt. Read the travel feature here >.
I was also featured on the Friendship Travel website where I gave my top tips on first time skiing, including how to get ready for skiing, as well as the essentials needed. Read the ski feature here >
As you all know I love beauty. So when I found out that Cult Beauty were hosting a Milk event at a pop-up store, I had to take a look. The event was for only two days and I had heard a lot of hype about the Milk makeup range, which had just been launch here from the U.S. I also wanted to get my hands on the Meet the Fam kit, which was exclusive to the event and not on the Cult Beauty site. I got my makeup done and had a photoshoot to top off the day.
I also went to a great restaurant with a twist. The impromptu visit was on the way back from a family visit. We went to the Eriki London in the Crown Plaza near Heathrow airport. The twist was that the food were featured in a Thali; small pots of yummy food. Both veg and non veg, it was very delicious. I can thoroughly recommend it, especially the dhal makhani (lentils).
It was a nice venue, glorious food, mocktails and of course good company. My son really enjoyed it too. He loves mocktails and there were plenty options to try! Give me a Virgin Pina Colada any day!
Who can forget Valentines! I got some lovely gifts too. Did you do anything special?
I hope you are all keeping well – What have you been doing?
Sometimes it is nice to take some time off and spend it with your family isn’t it. I think we all need to do it. Congratulations on your feature on Ice Lolly as well that is amazing! Great choice as well.
Totally agree with you about Slovenia AND horrible tight ski boots. Slovenia is so beautiful, and the people are great! 🙂
A break from blogging can be really needed I think – but looks like you’ve been up to a lot 🙂
The thali you had at Eriki London looks absolutely divine – I will have to try and get there next time I’m flying from/to Heathrow!
Breaks are needed it’s good to recharge and very important too.
