Things to do in Wimbledon, Including Tennis

Keith Prowse

Wimbledon, South London during the summer

I have always been a South London lady at heart (can’t say girl, not at my age. LOL). Mainly because it’s the area I know well. I am very fond of many areas, but one area I love visiting in the summer is Wimbledon. I can just hop on the train and explore to my heart’s content.

Wimbledon is pretty easy to get to with lots of different transport links. The station is also accessible with lifts throughout the station.

When in Wimbledon, there is an array of places to visit, including visiting Centre Court which for all those who don’t know is a shopping centre and not the courts themselves. 😉

Centre Court has parking facilities and plenty of shops to choose from. Whether your on the look out for jewellery to clothing outlets, through to places to eat. Wimbledon has a lot to offer!

The summer brings hopefully warmth and lots of sunshine. This summer I am looking forward to the tennis and what better place to see and savour the atmosphere of tennis than at Wimbledon.

I have very fond memories of Wimbledon, as I live not too far from the local. This summer I am looking forward to Wimbledon 2019, the tennis and getting to the heart of the action.

Keith Prowse offer some spectacular packages. You can even build your own experience, which sounds amazing! They cater for numerous budgets and needs. Imagine, being chauffeured to the games by a concierge service and enjoy sipping on an ice cold drink – bliss in the heat. Having a delicious lunch followed by strawberries and cream in true English tennis style. Enjoying the game and maybe some afternoon tea?

Packages include the choice of centre court as well as Number 1 court tickets and a goodie bag full of fabulous essentials. Who wouldn’t want some VIP hospitality?

They have also recently remodelled the award-winning Gatsby Club and renamed it The Lawn. I must say that I like the idea of the Gatsby Club, gives it a regal feel. I guess that The Lawn is more appropriate, a better name and apt for what Keith Prowse offer and more synonymous to tennis.

Going to see the tennis would be such a privilege this summer – to be able to view the centre court from your own private balcony, so near the Royals is enough to make anyone excited – it would truly be a dream! Being invited to The Lawn would make it so special.

Traditionally white would be the best thing to wear to the event, but I would not go for a pure white colour, but . Wearing a lovely long dress would be perfect, as well as some comfortable heals to look the part. It’s lightweight and very flowy while being modest – perfect for a sociably sunny day out!

So I hope you too are excited about Wimbledon – Will you be watching or attending Wimbledon this year?
