London Fashion Week

Fashions Finest UK

This year I was fortunate to cover the London Fashion Week. I was kindly invited as Press by Fashions Finest UK to see their designs for SS18 (Spring, Summer 18) and some top designers.

The day started at 2pm at the marvellously impressive De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms. On entry I met the CEO of Fashions Finest Magazine, Deborah St Louis who I must admit was very lovely and well dressed herself with a fabulous necklace and guided me to the main hall area.

In the main hall there were also some pop-up shops and we were given refreshments with AlodrinkUK.

I was ushered with all the media and photographers, which was in a well placed spot, right in front of the fashion show with the best view.

The first of the fashion show featured the following designers:

2 PM
Ocansey Bianchi – UK
Kim Tiziana Rottmueller – Germany Larrit Shoes – Nigeria
Akame – Germany Chico De Barrio – UK

This show was the most ‘unconventional’ – the designs had a modern twist to them with added flair whether on the arms, or with the detailing within the fabrics.

The pictures speak for themselves. Take a look:

Key trends to look out for:

White gowns that are inspired by bridal wear
Ruffles whether on sleeves or on the outfit
Tassles on trousers or leggings
Feathers
Blush pink

The Prince’s Trust shows were outstanding and such a great way for young designers to show their talent and designs.

What trend will you wear?
