It’s that time again. Ramadan is a time to fast and reflect on just how lucky we are to have food and clean drinking water and to appreciate our life. It is a time to pray, feel what it’s like to have no food and will power.
After a day of fasting, which starts at just before 3 until approx 9.20 in the evening, one must open their fast.
One should try not to be too lavish as appreciating food is what truly is important.
So a fresh and thirst quenching drink is just what is needed.
Here is a quick way to make a refreshing strawberry daiquiri; non alcoholic of course!
Ingredients:
- Tub of strawberries
- Sugar
- Soda
- Ice
- Mint (if desired)
Blend a tub of strawberry’s with sugar (to taste, but you’ll need about 3 tablespoons). Add soda, or in my case, I added some elderflower and lime soda from Lidl and blend with a hearty amount of ice cubes.
You can add mint if you want, but my family don’t like it, but I do. 😉
Do make it and let me know how you like it!
Enjoy!
That sounds so delicious and refreshing. Def going to try it this week.
