Cold Sores and Lipivir

Lipivir coldsore preventor

If you suffer from cold sores then you’re in the minority, but it is an unfortunate virus to suffer from. Cold sores are something that unfortunately is re-occurring. It can range from a minor bump to a massive bubble. The trick is to avoid scratching and making sure to use a preventative as soon as the lip feels itchy. Also wash hands regularly, cold sores can spread to other parts of your face or body. Make sure you keep your hands clean otherwise you can affect other parts of your face. I have had two cold sores at once but it is rare for me.

Once you’ve had a cold sore you know when it is about to erupt. I say erupt because it can appear quickly and if not treated can get worse.

When the tingle first is felt, it is vital to put a preventative cream straight away. Lipivir is a really good cream for this and aids the prevention of cold sores. A cold sore is so ugly and painful that it is best to act fast!

There are many triggers for  cold sores, including being tired, run down, stress, when suffering from a cold and time of the month.

The pain of cold sores can be very uncomfortable and somewhat annoying. I wouldn’t wish one on anyone. Once you have one though, other remedies are tea tree oil and lysine. Both really help reduce cold sores and the pain.

You can get Lysine in tablet form, but I got mine in a balm form from Holland & Barrett.

I have even used a home remedy, which helps with the pain. This is using turmeric (haldi) mixed with a little water.

I hope these help, as it really is something to avoid and anything that helps with a cold sore is a God-send.

I’ve heard of lysine to help, I used to take the supplements, huge tablets that didn’t help at all – this balm looks lovely and so much better !
