I can’t believe that January has come to an end. It’s first of Feb and this month is full of excitement. I will go into this on another blog, but for now on to my January favourites and essentials.
This has been an interesting month. A long month after Christmas, but also a good month in terms of beauty and shopping.
I have been loving a fare few things.
I did like a few good beauty goodies, which I have been using most.
Firstly, the reasons I am loving the Makeup Forever foundation is that it is not too full on and leaves the skin dewy and not at all cakey. The consistency is smooth and can be used both with a Real techniques brush (my favourite) or the beauty blender. The only thing is that it is of a thin consistency so the beauty blender needs to be well squeezed out.
I combine the foundation with the NYX banana powder, which is finely milled and means it creates a flawless look. I also use the banana powder to set my under eyes after using the NYX Colour Correcting Palette; it combines, under eye concealers, correctors and contours, so a very versatile product and at £10, a very good buy! The LA Pro concealer is great for concealer too, especially for Asian skin and is liked and used by Kaushal Beauty for which I got my inspiration with buying it.
I combine these as a look using the Mary Lou Manizer as highlight and my new favourite blush by Milani (which you can get at Beauty B Cosmetics). I also love the eyeliner by Inglot which is so black that it accentuates the eye.
I like to use the LAB2 brushes, which are very soft and essential in applying eyeshadows and makeup.
I am also loving ear cuffs, the ones above are in the sale at accessorize and look amazing on the ear and jazz up any outfit.
For the winter months, I am loving the Avene Physiolift jour day crème lissante smoothing cream, my Jo Malone candle in Pomegranate Noir and a candle that is La Vie Est Belle candle that smells like the eau de parfum fragrance. If only the internet could allow smells.
The lip products I love are the Bellissima liquid lipstick from Stila, the NYX soft lip creme in London, the Rimmel lipliner in East End Snob and Honey Love lipstick from Mac.
